Valentina's recovering from the injury and it is still not clear if she is going to participate in any tournaments in January-February, including Australian Open. She works with physio and trains by a specially developed program.

Dear Players,

All matches have been completed at the 2017 Gallipoli Youth Cup. Congratulations to Valentina IVANOV (NZL) and Chase FERGUSON (VIC) for taking out the singles titles. Also congratulations to the doubles champions, Amber MARSHALL (SA) / Valentina IVANOV (NZL) and Campbell SALMON (VIC) / Henri SQUIRE (GER). The final draws are attached.

We would like to thank you all for your cooperation throughout the week and we hope you enjoyed your time at Melbourne Park Clay courts. There were a total of 164 matches over the 7 days under mostly perfect condition for tennis (expect for the finals unfortunately).

Big shout-out to Brad, our clay court curator for all his long hours and diligent work on making sure the clay courts were in pristine condition for matches each day, THANK YOU BRAD.

Many thanks to Tournament Referee, Isabelle Gemmel and the group of dedicated officials for their tireless efforts over the week, as well as on-site physio Kathleen Pettyfor who did more than her fair share of walking / running between the clay courts and the NTC physio treatment room.

Best of luck to all athletes playing in the Nicholas Lynch Real Estate Victorian Junior International next week in Mornington.

Results can also be found on the ITF Junior website

Kind Regards

Mark and Isabelle
